Old Forester Single Barrel Strength “Sip Whiskey II” Bundle
Old Forester 1920: The Volstead Demonstration of 1920 which started Disallowance in the USA allowed licenses to six distillers in Kentucky to keep on packaging whiskey for restorative purposes. Through one of these licenses, Old Forester kept on being created as restorative bourbon on Louisville’s acclaimed Bourbon Line. It is the main whiskey persistently sold by the very organization that has been ready to move previously, during and after Forbiddance.
During this time, all whiskies must be packaged at 100 Proof. With a barrel passage proof of 100, the “heavenly messenger’s portion” would have made a 115 proof bourbon after development. To give proper respect to this period, Old Forester presents 1920 Denial Style Whiskey at 115 proof to address the rich flavor profile this whiskey had almost quite a while back.
Old Forester Single Barrel Strength: This container of Old Forester Single Barrel was uniquely chosen for Taste Bourbon from the loads of Old Forester in Louisville Kentucky from distribution center K Floor 2 and packaged at 128.1 proof.
After the cancelation of Disallowance, my granddad, George Garvin Earthy colored II, fostered a solitary barrel articulation of Old Forester explicitly for Whiskey fans. It was the main Single Barrel Whiskey available to be purchased since the section of the Packaged in Bond Act in 1897. Today, we honor the tradition of “firsts” that Old Forester started in 1870 with this unfiltered barrel strength offering.
